The terms may be less relevant to you. The bottom line is that you need detailed designs so that they can be built by developers, resulting in a working digital product.

The easiest way to apply design to your project is to add a designer to your agile team. Depending on the need, this can be a user experience designer, a user interface designer or a visual designer.

Sprint 0
Just like a building, a digital product needs a solid foundation, in which the broad outlines have already been thought out before the developers get to work. We achieve this with a good 'Sprint Zero'.
In this way, the designers ensure that the product owner (and his supporters) has a clear image of the broad outline of the product. An additional advantage is that the developers can see the outline of the final solution, which removes a lot of uncertainty.
1 – 10 – 100
1–10–100 is a way to quickly gain clarity about requirements and wishes by converting them immediately (= on day 1) into a design. The stakeholders adjust requirements and wishes based on the design, resulting in a second version. This also includes input from real users.
You use it when requirements and wishes have not yet been sufficiently worked out, for example because the effects are difficult to estimate. You also use it if you want to quickly get a picture of the final solution, so that you can decide on GO or NO GO with minimal risk.
5 – 3 – 1
5–3–1 is a way to investigate multiple solution directions in a relatively short time. In this process we first work out 5, then 3 and finally 1 designs.
You use it when there are multiple solutions for the major challenges in the design. In addition, it is particularly useful if several stakeholders have a different insight and opinion, and they need to be brought together.
